Our Collective Impact Goal: 

All Whitehaven Children Have Access To High Quality Early Learning Programs

According to the last US Census 29.7 percent of families living in Whitehaven are living at or below the federal poverty line. The children of those families have the potential to benefit the most from quality early learning programs but unfortunately their families often encounter the most barriers to enrollment.

Whitehaven Reads

A Better Whitehaven’s Whitehaven Reads is an initiative to increase access to quality early learning programs for Whitehaven’s highest need children. Whitehaven Reads will help ABW member organizations:

• Identify and enroll children in high quality early learning programs
• Build the capacity of existing early learning programs to provide high quality support to young children and their families.
• Advocate for systemic changes that create greater access to early learning programs

The purpose of the Early Childhood Collaborative is to create and sustain seamless accessible and high quality systems of support for young children and their families.
